mid 2024 (soon™)

it took a long time for me to get to the point where i want people to try a board that i designed, but i think this is it.

the board features two mounting methods: a tweaked geon-style gasket mount and a half-burger top mount.

i theorised and iterated the plate and mounts for weeks and i think i have something cool here.

it's definitely my most labouriest of love so far.

this board is dedicated to my favourite group of gen 5 kpop, LE SSERAFIM.

this one is for the united states of chaewon

sohi

early 2024

my very first try at designing anything keyboard-related was actually a replacement case for my mecx labs mp1 macropad back in 2021.

it was a friction-fit one piece PLA case and looked terrible. i had to melt some of the PLA off so the usb port would fit.

i was looking at it one day in 2024 when i decided that enough was enough and my desk deserved better.

when i dropped a couple render pictures in the new england keyboard group discord server, i was surprised to see that other people also thought their desks deserved better.

sohi became my first production run, where i fulfilled all 12 F&F units myself from my Boston University dorm room.

late 2023

i was content with my soft gasket boards for a while before i got the itch to spend more money and decided i needed a drop-in o-ring 60%.

instead of buying one of the many options out there, i decided to make my own to stretch my design chops and make something a little weird.

it turned out great and will probably permanently be in my collection.

i won't sit here and lie to you, the design of this board is based off one of the boards that started it all for me: the keycult 1/60.

there were a couple things about keycult's execution that I disagreed with design-wise, so this is my take on their design language and i'd say it turned out pretty nice!

being one of my first "original" boards, there were definitely a couple issues to iron out, but it looks fantastic.
